More than 1000 children were baptized in 10 bulgarian cities

More than 1000 children were baptized today in 10 bulgarian cities. The baptizms were in the central Orthodox churches of Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Rousse, Vratsa and Blagoevgrad. 

The parents had the opportunity to choose godparents for their childs. Anton Hekimyan, Alexander  Sano, Deo, Vlado Nikolov, Juliana Doncheva, Maria Grozdeva, Ivan Lechev, Hilda Kazasyan and Polly Genova were some of the popular people supporting the initiative "Do It For Bulgaria".

This event was the final point of the initiative to protect the birth rate under the patronage of Patriarch Neofit and the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. For each shared pregnancy, the National Cause of DNA movement provides a minimum 1 lev to the Foundation "I want a baby" to help couples with reproductive problems.  

60 children were baptized in the Metropolitan church "St. Marina " in Povdiv where the official guest was the mayor Ivan Totev. More than 40 families baptized their children in Stara Zagora where one of the godfathers was the journalist Anton Hekimyan. 

More than 40 were the baptized babies in Varna and nearly 50 accepted the Christianity in Burgas at the temple "St. St. Cyril and Methodius". 

In Veliko Tarnovo, the baptizms were in the cathedral "Nativity of the Blessed Virgin". A godmother of 6 babis already is Juliana Dontcheva.

In Vratsa 27 children from Vratsa, Montana, Pleven, Byala Slatina, Knezha, Mezdra and Sofia were enrolled for the ritual. The official guest in the city was the mayor Kalin Kamenov. The event in Rousse was in the temple "Holy Trinity" where the popular godfather was the actor Alexander Sano and the official guest was the mayor of the city Plamen Stoilov.
